The local market for refurbished electronics will increase this year by more than 25pct, mainly due to the lower purchasing price, in some cases by up to half compared to that of new equipment, but also due to their performance, with configurations close to the latest generation, according to a study released on Wednesday for AGERPRES.
"More and more customers are aware of the benefits of refurbished products, all the more so since in recent years technological innovation has not put much emphasis on computing power but on reducing product size and energy efficiency," say representatives of an e-commerce company in Romania.
The most purchased refurbished electronics, according to the evoMAG study, are laptops, with a 68pct share in sales, PCs and PC systems with 20pct share in refurbished, as well as printers and multi-purpose printers, with 10pct.
For example, customers can purchase reconditioned laptops from 699 lei, refurbished computers at prices starting at 269 lei or cheaper refurbished laser multi-purpose printers by 52pct cheaper. The refurbished electronics will also be available on Black Friday, but the sale products available then will be different than the ones now.
