President Klaus Iohannis said on Tuesday that it was imperative to find solutions to reopen as many types of cultural events as possible, adding that he asked Culture Minister Bogdan Gheorghiu to be open to all solutions that are safe from a health point of view and that can help those in the entertainment industry, agerpres reports.
"Regarding cultural events, it is imperative that we find solutions for reopening as many types of events as possible, both indoor and outdoor events. It is obvious the important role that culture has in returning to normalcy. I am glad that there are pilot projects in the area and I hope that the artists will soon be able to resume their direct contact with as wide an audience as possible. I have explicitly asked the culture minister to be open to all solutions that are safe from a health point of view and that can help those in the entertainment industry, one of the areas most affected by the restrictions imposed by the pandemic," President Iohannis told a news conference at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace.
He said that very good projects were being prepared and was very convinced that in the coming weeks the vaccination campaign would take on new and more attractive forms.
"I very much hope that we can convince the majority of Romanians to get vaccinated," Iohannis said.
The chief of state had a working meeting with Prime Minister Florin Citu and members of the Government on the COVID-19 mass vaccination campaign.
