President Klaus Iohannis arrived in Parliament on Monday, where he is attending the National Liberal Party (PNL) Executive Bureau meeting.
Upon arrival, the head of state said that at the meeting with the Liberals he will talk about the unfolding of the electoral campaign.
''We have carried out an electoral campaign together and a successful one, nonetheless and we want to draw some conclusions. (...) I do not think that we are talking today about government issues, at least not in my presence, that's for the next few days,'' said Iohannis. (...) I have messages for the PNL in all areas, but I will adjust them so they become appropriate. For today, about how the election campaign went," said Iohannis, in a statement given to the press, before the PNL meeting.
Asked about amendments to the laws of justice or the compensatory appeal, the president replied that all will be "resolved at the right time".
"All will be resolved at the right time, which will come soon enough, but now, in the first phase, I had the request - and I think it was well received - to solve the first thing that is most urgent, in this case the 2020 budget. After that, we can think about the other issues, which are very important. Alongside the budget preparation, we need to plan some measures that are quite urgent for the end of this year," said Iohannis.
