The unemployment rate in November 2025 was, in seasonally adjusted form, 6%, up 0.1 percentage points compared to that recorded in the previous month, according to data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
According to the cited source, the unemployment rate for men was 0.2 percentage points higher than for women, the values ??being 6.1% for males and 5.9% for females.
The number of unemployed people (aged 15-74) estimated for November 2025 was 493,700 people, an increase compared to the previous month (487,300 unemployed in October), but also compared to the same period of the previous year (455,400 unemployed in November 2024).
According to the INS, the unemployment rate among young people aged 15 to 24 remains high at 26.9%, recorded between July and September 2025.
For adults (25-74 years old), the unemployment rate was estimated at 4.7% in November 2025, respectively 4.8% for men and 4.6% for women.
The number of unemployed people aged 25-74 represented 73.7% of the total number of unemployed people estimated for November 2025.
