European Union Energy Ministers are meeting on Thursday and Friday in Copenhagen, Denmark, at an informal meeting, with Romania represented by State Secretary Cristian Busoi.
The meeting, organized under the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, focuses on the future of Europe's energy architecture, the expansion of clean technologies and the development of energy infrastructure.
According to information posted on the EU Council website, the first day will include a joint field visit, aimed at showcasing key technologies driving the transition towards a climate-neutral, sustainable and competitive Europe.
The second day will feature a varied program of thematic sessions, including plenary discussions, roundtable dialogues, and parallel workshops in small groups.
The aim of the meeting is to encourage dialogue on policy direction and to strengthen practical cooperation between Member States in promoting the European green transition, energy independence and competitiveness.
Formal Council meetings are organised by the Council of the EU and chaired by the Council Presidency. However, each Council Presidency also organises informal meetings of ministers to discuss initiatives related to a specific subject or a specific Council configuration.
