The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced on Thursday the inclusion of four more Emergency Departments (CPU) in the direct financing system from the state budget, through the budget of the ministry he heads. These are the Filantropia Craiova Municipal Clinical Hospital, the Borsa Recovery Hospital, the Brad Municipal Hospital and the Dorohoi Municipal Hospital.
According to the Minister of Health, with this decision, Romania reaches 80 Emergency Departments financed at national level. Direct financing provides resources dedicated to emergency activities: medical teams, medicines, sanitary materials and the necessary investigations for patients arriving at these structures.
"In practice, these resources give hospitals the ability to quickly assess patients, start treatment without delay and manage acute cases closer to the communities where people live. At the same time, we contribute to balancing the pressure in large Emergency Departments. As Minister of Health, I know that in emergency situations, time can make the difference between life and death. That is why strengthening the emergency network remains a priority: so that every patient receives the necessary care quickly, safely and close to home," the minister wrote on Facebook.
