Comic Con Romania returns with a new edition from 24 to 26 April at the Romexpo Exhibition Centre, with Freddy Carter, star of Shadow and Bone, announced as the first guest on this year's line-up.
According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday, over the course of three days fans of films, TV series, video games, cosplay and comic books will enjoy a full experience, as their favourite fictional worlds come to life through activities, attractions and meetings with special guests, designed for audiences of all ages.
Freddy Carter is the third actor from Shadow and Bone to attend Comic Con Romania, after fans of the series met Sujaya Dasgupta (Zoya Nazyalensky) and Jack Wolfe (Wylan Hendriks) at last year's edition.
Shadow and Bone is a fantasy series that follows the story of Alina Starkov, a young woman who discovers she possesses a unique magical power that could save a world torn by conflict and threatened by a devastating dark force. Carter plays Kaz Brekker, a charismatic leader known for his intelligence and his ability to turn any weakness into an advantage. From the second season onwards, when his character moved into the spotlight, Carter's performance drew widespread praise from critics and international publications such as Rolling Stone, CNET and Vulture.
Beyond his role in Shadow and Bone, the actor portrayed Jason Ripper in the TV series Pennyworth, and has also appeared in productions including Masters of the Air and The Doll Factory.
Freddy Carter will take part in a Q&A panel, sign autographs and pose for photos with fans on 26 April.

Over its 12-year history, Comic Con Romania has hosted numerous well-known Hollywood actors, including Jason Momoa, Jamie Campbell Bower, Ed Westwick, Paul Wesley, Mark Sheppard, Alfred Enoch, Tom Wlaschiha, Andrew Scott, Clive Standen, Jim Beaver, Robert Knepper, Charles Dance and Sylvester McCoy.
