Four Ukrainian refugees who crossed the Tisza River on Monday morning into Romania are applying for asylum, spokesperson for the Sighetu Marmatiei Local Border Police Inspectorate (ITPF) Iulia Stan said on Tuesday.
"The four citizens of Ukraine are applying for asylum," said Stan.
On Monday morning, on an outside temperature of -5 degrees Celsius, around 06:35hrs, local, the border police found, near the Sighetu Marmatiei border crossing point, four Ukrainian nationals who had crossed the Tisza River into Romania. The four were taken over by border guards for medical care.
Stan told AGERPRES that the four men are in good health.
