The flu death toll in Romania so far this season has reached 58, the National Centre for Surveillance and Control of Communicable Diseases within the National Institute of Public Health reported on Tuesday.
The last person to date to die from the flu is a 65-year-old woman from Constanta County, who tested positive for influenza A virus, subtype (H1) pdm09.
The woman had pre-existing medical conditions and an unknown vaccine history.
