Two containers with about 40 tonnes of construction and demolition waste, as well as plastic waste, imported from Tunisia, were detected by authorities in the Constanta Port, the Coast Guard reported on Wednesday.
According to the said source, the Border Police withib the Coast Guard, together with inspectors from the Constanta Border Customs Office and commissioners from the National Environmental Guard - Constanta County Commissariat, checked the load of about 40 tonnes and the accompanying documents in the case of two containers that arrived from Tunisia, destined for a commercial company in Romania.
"Following the checks, it was found that inside the containers there were hoses, cables, pieces of rigid material, as well as a white, crumbly material, which is why it was found that the identified materials do not correspond to the physical characteristics of the declared goods.
