The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's trading session with almost all indices in the red and RON 720.1 million (EUR 141.3 million) worth of trades, of which RON 608.5 million (EUR 119.4 million) came from bond transactions.
The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, dropped 0.70 percent to 29,010.65 points, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares lost 0.71 percent, agerpres reports.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers closed 0.65 percent lower, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK dipped 0.28 percent.
The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies slid 0.99 percent, and the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG picked up 0.18 percent.
The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market closed 0.46 percent down.
The most traded stocks on the Regulated Market were Banca Transilvania with RON 25.6 million worth of trading, followed by OMV Petrom with roughly RON 22.2 million, and Romgaz with almost RON 8.6 million.
The best performing issuers were Energopetrol (+14.72 percent), Carbochim (+9.49 percent), and AETA (+7.14 percent).
Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were Armatura (-8.72 percent), Electroaparataj (-7.93 percent), and Sinteza (-5.26 percent).
