The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Monday's session higher on almost all indices, with turnover amounting to 20.27 million lei (3.98 million euros) after 30 minutes of trading.
The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, was up 1.67%, while the BET-Plus index, which reflects the performance of the 43 most liquid shares listed on the BVB, rose 1.61%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, covering the 25 most liquid stocks, gained 1.57%, while BET-BK, the benchmark for investment funds' performance, advanced 1.39%.
The BET-FI index of SIFs recorded an increase of 0.76%, while BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, climbed 1.87%.
According to BVB data, the largest share price increases were recorded by Altur, up 4.84%, Electrica, up 3.81%, and Fondul Proprietatea, up 3.54%.
On the other hand, shares in Prefab fell 7.63%, Rompetrol Well Services by 2.32% and Chimcomplex by 2.12%.
