Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Monday's session lower across all indices, with total transactions amounting to 22.35 million lei (4.39 million euros), 30 minutes into the session.
The main BET index, which reflects the development of the 20 most liquid companies, fell by 1.53%, while the BET-Plus index, which shows the development of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, registered a drop of 1.5%, agerpres reports.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, fell by 1.48%, while the benchmark for investment fund performance, BET-BK, fell by 1.31%.
The BET-FI index of SIFs declined by 0.88%, while the BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, lost 1.62% of its value.
According to BVB data, the largest increases in share value were recorded by Societatea de Constructii Napoca (+14.5%), Prefab (+12.07%) and Compa (+11.64%).
On the other hand, the shares of Carbochim (-7.46%), Vancart (-6.6%) and Biofarm (-3.6%) were down.
