The National Bank of Romania (BNR) launches on Monday in the numismatic circuit a set of three coins (gold, silver and coppered tombac), a silver coin and a brass coin for collection, dedicated to the takeover by Romania, on 1 January 2019, of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
According to a BNR release, the obverse of the gold coin shows the map of the European Union on 1 January 2019, the moment of Romania's takeover the Presidency of the Council of the European Union; the inscription in circle arch "Romania", the nominal value "100 Lei", the coat of arms of Romania and the issue year "2019".
The front of the silver coin shows the map of the European Union on 1 January 2019, when Romania took over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union; the inscription in circle arch "Romania", the nominal value "10 lei", the coat of arms of Romania and the issue year "2019".
The back of all coins presents a composition containing the logo of the Romanian Presidency at the Council of the European Union and the circular inscription, the Presidency of Romania at the Council of the European Union.
The circulation is: 250 sets of three coins (gold, silver and coppered tombac), 250 silver coins; 5,000 brass coins for collection.
The gold, silver, coppered tombac and brass coins dedicated to the taking over by Romania of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union on January 1, 2019, have circulatory power in Romania.
