A bear that used to be seen quite frequently in the Corbu locality causing damages to the households there has been captured on Thursday morning and relocated.
The mayor of Corbu rural town, Romeo Tepes-Focsa, told AGERPRES that the bear came to the locality three or four times a day and endangered the lives of the locals.
The animal broke several bee hives, destroyed the surroundings of some households, entered an uninhabited house, by smashing the door and the windows, and even after it was found and removed from the locality by the intervention team, it returned to the rural town every time.
The mayor specified that all the legal procedures have been met and on Thursday morning the animal was captured, tranquilized and relocated by the specialists of the hunting association in the area, in a hunting fund located quite far from the locality.
The gendarmes remind people that it is recommended to call 112 emergency number every time when they witness such situations, that they must not try to intervene or try to feed the wild animals. People just need to be careful where they store their waste and do not approach the bears to film or take their picture.
