Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete is paying an official visit to Brussels on Monday and Tuesday aimed at strengthening institutional dialogue, exchange best practices in the organisation of medical services and participate in a European debate regarding mental health and the responsible use of digital tools in prevention.

According to a press release, Health Minister Rogobete will tour the Queen Astrid Military Hospital alongside Romania's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium Andreea Pastarnac.

On Tuesday, Alexandru Rogobete will participate as a speaker in the event called "Mental health prevention in the digital era in Europe. Digital tools, human expertise and the protection of minors" organized at the European Parliament level.

"The event addresses one of the main public health challenges at European level, mental health, with a focus on prevention and early intervention, particularly among children and adolescents," the quoted source said.

The discussions will also cover the impact of using digital tools and artificial intelligence, the need to protect minors online and the responsible use of these technologies in the area of prevention.
