A number of approximately 300 people participated in the protest in the Victoriei Square which ended on Sunday without any incidents.
The protesters waved tricolor and EU flags, as well as flags of some several European states that are also endorsing Romania's fight against corruption.
A representative of the "Group for legislative initiative and amendment of the Constitution" read a a declaration with 21 claims, including the introduction of drastic conditions for joining Parliament.
Those present at the protest chanted slogans such as: "Justice, not corruption!,"Get out country traitors," We don't want to be led by thieves," "PSD[the Social Democratic Party], the red plague."
After the rain started, most of the protesters left the Victoriei Square.
A group of protesters withdrew on the sidewalk from the Antipa Museum and tried to block the traffic on the lane coming from the Nicolae Titulescu road, by repeatedly crossing the crosswalk. Several teams of gendarmerie, as well as traffic agents arrived at the scene and kept the traffic flowing.
The gendarmes put up fences around the center of the Victoriei Square, but the traffic was not interrupted.
