As many as 324 cases of COVID with the Omicron variant were confirmed during the week of March 7-13, the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) informs, Agerpres reports.
According to the INSP, 3,771 Omicron cases were confirmed until March 13.
Of the 3,771 Omicron variant cases, 747 were detected as sub-variant BA.2 (20%).
Until March 13, INSP - the National Center for Oversight and Control of Transmissible Diseases (CNSCBT) saw reports for 12,092 sequencing processes, of which 324 between March 7-13. The 324 sequencing processes were reported by the Cantacuzino Institute (191), the Matei Bals Institute (91) and Pro-Vitam Sf. Gheorghe (42).
Up to this time 11,484 cases with variants of concern of SARS-CoV-2 have been reported, of which 5,957 with the Delta variant and 3,771 with the Omicron variant.
