Wage increases will be granted next year as the Pay Law stipulates and the pension point is to be increased by 15 percent as of September 1, Minister of Public Finance Eugen Teodorovici stated on Tuesday at the Government seat.
"This Emergency Ordinance provides for a series of measures that firstly and particularly refers to ensuring obligations as of 1 January 2019, in fact further proof of compliance with the Pay law, Law 153, which states that also in 2019 and in the years to follow until 2022 raises will be granted in the budget sector of a quarter of the wage gap between salaries in 2022 and December 2018. So, just as the Pay law says, wage increases will also be granted in 2019," Eugen Teodorovici said.
He specified that the ordinance provides for a 15 percent increase of the pension point as of September 1, 2019, from 1,100 lei to 1,265 lei.
The Finance Minister said that in 2019 the gov't will continue to grant holiday vouchers because it was a very good initiative. The vouchers will be given for the whole budget sector at a level of 1,450 lei.
