According to a press statement released by the Prosecutor's Office, the two aggressors were detained for committing aggression and disturbance of public order and peace, and they were to be brought before judges with a proposal for preventive detention.
"The prosecutor's warrant mentions that the two persons committed physical violence against the injured persons, whose capacity was Gendarmerie officers involved in the Piata Victoriei protest on 10/11 August 2018, and their actions disrupted public order and peace. On October 11, the two people were taken into custody and they will; be brought before the judge of rights and freedoms with the Bucharest District 1 Courthouse with a proposal to be placed under preventive detention," according to the Prosecutor's Office.
The office is carrying out criminal investigations into acts of violence against the riot police officers deployed for the August 10 protest in Piata Victoriei.
