The events of 10 August seem to have also been financed from abroad, on Sunday said Social Democratic Party (PSD, main at rule) leader Liviu Dragnea, at the private Antena3 TV broadcaster, adding that he has information to prove this.
Dragnea stressed the possibility for proof to be made public this week to corroborate his statement.
"Enough elements exist so we can talk about a coup. There were protests financed, it seems, from abroad, too. I'm absolutely positive that next week [this week, ed. n.] information will surface about the way these protests were financed, about the fact that they were having paramilitary training, that this was actually noticed that they wanted to occupy the Gov't building and were permanently challenging the gendarmes," Dragnea asserted.
The PSD leader once again said that on 10 August "the state's institutions have done nothing wrong."
"They did not act illegally, the gendarmes did their duty, the gendarmes did not react at all before the violence kicked off," Liviu Dragnea added.
