President Klaus Iohannis described on Friday the political situation in Chisinau as "very complicated", adding that he is counting on the maturity of Moldova's political class.
"It is a very complicated situation, I keep myself permanently informed, I am in contact with the most important actors there. I hope and I am convinced that solutions will be found that to us are probably as important as they are for Moldavians, namely solutions to keep Moldova on the pro-European path. This is the aspect that should be of greatest interest for those involved. I spoke a few days ago with President Timofti about the initiatives he undertakes in order to come out of this complicated situation. I am counting on the maturity of the political class in Chisinau to find the best solution for solving the crisis, to install a strong government and to maintain the European path," Iohannis stated.
The Romanian president called for a quick and good solution to the political crisis in Moldova. AGERPRES
