The leader of the professional tennis women's circuit, Romanian Simona Halep on Wednesday said in Melbourne, that it is good to be in the semifinals of the Australian Open tournament, after she defeated Karolina Pliskova, world's #6, 6-3 6-2.
"Been in the semifinals in 2008, at juniors," Halep said after the match, at the interview on the field.
"Certainly this wasn't my best kick off, but I knew I had to start over after the first three balls, to never miss blows and move better. I began by opening the angles and play by my style and I served well today. Everything was in my favour," the Romanian tennis player added.
