Romania remains fully committed to combating terrorism, alongside the United States of America, Social Democratic Party (PSD) Chairman Liviu Dragnea wrote on his Facebook page, on the occasion of 17th anniversay since the attacks in the United States, saying that through joint efforts, we need to "build a better world for future generations, in which the threat of terrorism will be eradicated."
"September 11 - the day that changed the world, is a sad day for us all. It is time to remember of the lives lost on this day, 17 years ago, as well as the sacrifice and courage of the United States' task forces, but also the solidarity and dignity proven by Americans after the attacks. It is necessary that we work together so that what happened on September 11, 2001, never happens again," Dragnea wrote on Facebook.
Prime Minister Viorica Dancila expresses her solidarity towards the American people, at the commemoration of the victims of the September 11, 2001 tragedy and reiterates Romania's commitment to fighting "against the common threat of terrorism", the Executive shows, in a press release sent to AGERPRES.
"17 years ago, a tragedy affected to a large extent the life of the entire planet. The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 had a deep impact, not just on the American people, but on people all over the world. In these moments of pain and grief, in the name of the Romanian Government, we are in solidarity with the American people at the commemoration of the victims of this terrible tragedy. We remain resolved in our commitment to fight against the common terrorist threat and loyal to our powerful cooperation, meant to promote stability and security in various parts of the world," PM Dancila's message reads, according to the press release.
