Prime Minister Viorica Dancila met on Tuesday, at Victoria Palace, with the Prime Minister of the Polish Republic, Mateusz Morawiecki, on the sidelines of the Three Seas Initiative Summit, context in which they underlined the very good stage of the bilateral strategic relation.
According to a press release sent by the Government, the two Prime Ministers especially acknowledged the significance of the first inter-governmental consultations in the history of the Romanian-Polish relations that took place on May 25, in Warsaw.
"Furthermore, the importance of annually organizing meetings in this comprehensive format in boosting political, economic and social contacts was underlined. The mutual interest for further developing rapport between the two countries on all sectoral pillars was reiterated, the very good cooperation between Romania and Poland at a regional level being hailed, through the organisation in Bucharest of the current edition of the Three Seas Initiative Summit," reads the press release.
Another topic on the agenda of the meeting was the cooperation between the two countries at European level.
"The Romanian-Polish interest for consolidating European unity thus ensued, as a common goal in the debate on the future of Europe, but also the desire to collaborate throughout Romania's Presidency of the Council of the European Union, especially in key files such as the Multiannual Financial Framework and Brexit," it is said in the press release.
The quoted source also specifies that the Romanian Prime Minister voiced her appreciation of the consolidated cooperation between the two states in the fields of security and defence.
