The campus of the Politehnica National University of Science and Technology of Bucharest is bringing together industry specialists, professors and students on Friday and Saturday to discuss the future of energy at EnergyFEST 2026, the largest university event dedicated to energy in Romania.

According to a press release sent to AGERPRES, EnergyFEST 2026 becomes, for two days, a direct platform connecting industry with the future generation of engineers, pupils and students who are seeking their professional direction in an area undergoing profound transformation, agerpres reports.

'The energy sector is one of the most dynamic and best paid aareas in Romania, but it constantly needs well trained specialists. EnergyFEST is the place where industry meets the generation that will build the country's energy future,' said Mihnea Costoiu, the university's rector, as quoted in the press release.

According to the organisers, the energy industry is going through one of the most dynamic periods of the past decades, marked by the transition to renewable sources, the digitalisation of infrastructure and the modernisation of networks. In this context, the need for specialists is constantly increasing and the companies participating in EnergyFEST are coming to the campus not only to present state of the art technologies, but also to identify and attract young people who can become part of their teams.

High school pupils, students and the general public are invited to discover in concrete terms what the professions of the future in energy look like, from energy production and intelligent transport and distribution systems to automation, energy efficiency and the integration of new technologies.

Through applied demonstrations, laboratory tours, interactive presentations, technical conferences and direct dialogue with specialists, EnergyFEST offers a real experience of current challenges, solutions and the professional path that begins at university and continues in a sector that is strategic for the national economy, the quoted source shows.

For students, the event represents an opportunity for direct interaction with employers from an area recognised for its stability, competitive salary levels and long term professional development opportunities.

Admission to the event is free.
