CNAB: 28 flights cancelled Friday following events in Middle East

A total of 28 flights to or from Israel, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon and Dubai have been cancelled on Friday, following developments in the Middle East, according to the National Company of Bucharest Airports (CNAB).

The cancellations concern 13 departures and 15 arrivals operated by the following airlines: Anima Wings Aviations, El Al-Israel Airlines, FlyDubai, Qatar Airways, Ryanair, Sky Up Limited, Tarom and Wizz Air Malta, agerpres reports.

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (MTI) has recommended that Romanian citizens who have planned travel to the State of Israel or neighbouring states directly affected by the conflict to cancel or reschedule these trips for a later date.

On Saturday morning, Israel and the US attacked Iran, while Tehran retaliated with missiles and drones against US bases in the region and targets in Israel, several Middle Eastern states closed their airspace for security reasons.
