On Tuesday, Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca sent a message on the occasion of the Day of Hungarians Everywhere, in which he speaks of respect for the identity and values of the Hungarian community in Romania, Agerpres reports.
"Today, on the occasion of the Day of Hungarians Everywhere, I assure you once again of my personal respect and that of the Romanian Government for the identity and values of the Hungarian community. I wish you, the Romanian citizens of Hungarian ethnicity, a blessed holiday, as we are glad to reunite in the diversity of the European Union we all belong to. The years of the pandemic and the recent challenges we have been facing bring us even closer, while we are sharing these difficult times, showing solidarity with each other and especially with our Ukrainian friends and neighbours, who chose to take refuge with us fleeing the war. The spirit of tolerance and harmony, in which all minorities enjoy equal constitutional rights, gives us today the opportunity to show our generosity and gratitude. Many happy returns to all Hungarians in Romania and everywhere!," Nicolae Ciuca said in his message.
