Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan said that the package regarding the administrative reform should be adopted no later than next week.
"This package for administration, which we should adopt no later than next week, brings some very important things. Firstly, it strengthens very much your ability to exercise the mandate which the citizens entrusted you with in each locality. There are many good measures which strengthen your capacity to plan, to enforce discipline in constructions, to collect taxes and duties, to generate public policies, because Romania's change depends on this capacity," Bolojan said on Tuesday, at the 29th ordinary session of the General Assembly of the Association of Communes in Romania.
The Prime Minister mentioned that the reform package also targets staff reductions in situations when certain limits are exceeded.
"I believe that every administration in Romania, in the form in which the current normative acts are set out - including on the reduction component - can function without any problem. Certainly, each has its own specific, so that we have an administration in the service of the citizens," PM Bolojan said.
