The number of companies that suspended their activity was 11,604 between January and November period of 2021, up by 17.8 pct compared to the same period of last year, according to data published by the National Trade Register Office (ONRC), agerpres reports.
Most of the companies that suspended their activity between January and November 2021 were from Bucharest, respectively 1,159 (up by 13.63 pct compared to the same period of 2020), the capital being followed by the counties of Cluj, with 588 suspended companies (down by 0.34 pct), Bihor - 511 companies (+10.13 pct) and Constanta - 500 (+10.86 pct).
By fields of activity, the largest number of suspensions was registered in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, respectively 3,388 (+24.06 pct), other service activities - 1,305 suspensions (+25.12 pct) and in professional, scientific and technical businesses - 908 suspensions (+14.5 pct).
In November 2021, 1,249 company suspensions were recorded, most of them in Bucharest (116) and in the counties of Arges (62), Bihor (59), Cluj (56) and Constanta (48).
