The operational leasing market has exceeded 66,000 units in management at the end of the 2017 third quarter, thus generating a 11 pct increase, Y-o-Y, informs a press release of the Association of Operational Leasing Companies (ASLO) sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday.
January through September of the same year, approximately 13,000 new vehicles were registered by operational leasing companies, representing a 15 pct share of the overall number of new registrations (90,959 cars and light trade vehicles).
"The results of the first three quarters of the year on the operational leasing and fleet management market are very good, even beyond the expectations expressed at the beginning of the year. We are certain about this market's potential and we express our confidence that the built-in-services operational leasing will become the main financing tool of the Romanian companies' mobility," Dan Boiangiu, the ASLO Chairman specified.
According to the data centralised by ASLO, the top five company members are: LeasePlan Romania, Arval Service Lease Romania, ALD Automotive, Porsche Mobility and BCR Fleet Management.
The members of the Association represent 95 pct of the overall market. The structure of the portfolio (at association level) is made up of a 77 pct share of full operational leasing (financing and fleet management), followed by 14 pct fleet management, the rest representing operational leasing without management services.
