Octavian Ciovica won the Rasnov Trophy during the first event of the Hill Climbing National Championship, after being the fastest in both legs of the event, Agerpres reports.
Ciovica (Radical SR8) was timed during the first leg with 1 min 55 sec 916/1000, and during the second leg with 1 min 55 sec 911/1000, his cumulated time being 03 min 51 sec 827/1000.
This is the second victory achieved by Ciovica after last year, registered in Cheile Gradistei, according to the website of the Romanian Sports Motoring Federation (FRAS).
Costel Casuneanu placed second (Skoda Fabia R5), with 4 sec 963/1000 from the winner, the podium being completed by Emil Ghinea (Norma M20F), with 6 sec 450/1000 away from the winner.
The second event of the Hill Climbing National Championship will take place on July 9-10, in southwestern Resita.
