The motion of no confidence titled "Stop the impoverishment of Romanians! Cut from yourselves, not from them!" was rejected in the plenary session of Parliament on Sunday.
There were 119 votes in favour. In order for the motion to be adopted, a minimum of 233 votes in favour were required.
The motion of no confidence titled "Stop the impoverishment of Romanians! Cut from yourselves, not from them!" was submitted in relation to the draft law establishing measures for the recovery and efficiency of public resources, as well as for amending and supplementing certain legislative acts.
The joint plenary session of Parliament debated on Sunday four motions of no confidence submitted by the Opposition, following the Government's assumption of responsibility for the second package of measures aimed at reducing the budget deficit.
