President Nicusor Dan signed, on Friday, the decree decorating the "Unirea" National College in Focsani, on the occasion of January 24 - the Day of the Union of the Romanian Principalities and the 160th anniversary of the establishment of the educational institution.
"As a sign of high appreciation for the educational tradition of the "Unirea" National College in Focsani and of gratitude for the fundamental role of the generations of teachers who have contributed essentially to the intellectual and civic formation of the students, as well as to the school's transformative mission in the life of the community, President Nicusor Dan conferred the Order of Merit for Education in the rank of Commander to the "Unirea" National College in Focsani," the Presidential Administration reports.
In addition, the head of state will visit the college on Saturday, on the occasion of the official decoration ceremony, in the context of which he will participate, in Focsani and Iasi, in the events marking the Day of the Union of the Romanian Principalities.
