Romania is committed to remain a firm supporter of the European aspirations of Moldova, to back the reforms required by this objective and to be deeply involved in mobilizing European solidarity, when needed, to overcome difficulties and maintain the European orientation of the state, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis stated on Thursday.
Speaking at the annual meeting with heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Romania, Iohannis added that Moldova's European path depends on the political will of the Chisinau authorities, on the proper functioning of the rule of law and on the implementation of reforms.
The head of state took the opportunity to wish good luck to the newly-appointed Government in Chisinau in carrying out the reforms ensuring Moldova's European course.
The Parliament of Moldova approved on Wednesday the Government's programme and the list of ministers of the cabinet led by PM Pavel Filip.
