The number of homes put into use in the first nine months of the year, at the national level, increased by 2.33%, to 49,621, compared to the same period in 2020, according to official data, published on Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS), agerpres reports.
Between January 1 and September 30, 2021, most homes were handed over in urban areas, accounting for 61.2% of the total.
Overall, compared to the reference period, 49,621 homes were put into use, an increase of 1,131 homes.
According to the same source, the distribution by financing of the finished homes reveals the fact that, from January to the end of September, both the number of houses made from private funds (+1,117 houses) and the number of houses made from public funds (+14 houses), compared to the similar interval in 2020.
At the same time, the regional distribution shows an increase in the number of finished homes in the following development regions: North-East (+1,217 homes), West (+458), South-Muntenia (+174) and South-West Oltenia (+151).
On the other hand, decreases in the number of finished housing were recorded in the development regions: Central (-706 houses), North-West (-139), Bucharest-Ilfov (-14) and South-East (-10) .
INS data show that in the third quarter of this year, compared to the same period in 2020, by area of residence, most homes were built in urban areas (59.5%), while the number of homes made from private funds decreased by 465, while those built on public funds increased (+6).
Distribution by regional profile, in the reference period, shows an increase in the number of finished houses in the following development regions: North-East (+228 dwellings) and South-West Oltenia (+89). Decreases were recorded in South-Muntenia (-205 houses), Bucharest-Ilfov (-180), West (-65), North-West (-140), South-East (-49) and Central (-25).
