The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rafila, declared in eastern Bacau, on Monday, that the Government will find a legal framework for distributing potassium iodide pills to the citizens, but that distribution will begin after an awareness campaign for the population regarding the usage of these pills, Agerpres reports.
The Minister of Health expressed his hope that family physicians will participate in the campaign for distributing the pills to the population.
The Ministry of Health informed on Monday that together with the Government, an awareness campaign will be launched at the beginning of this week regarding how to administer and store the potassium iodide pills.
In the following period, the Ministry of Health and the National Health Insurance House (CNAS) will establish the legal procedure for distributing the potassium iodide pills for the population, from ages between 0 and 40. The pill distribution will begin during the second half of April, the Ministry of Health also informed.
