Introducing the 'Green Week' in the school calendar, updating the biology, geography and science school curricula with climate change and environment notions, extending certain disciplines and optional relevant courses are among the proposals of the report titled 'Climate Change and Environmental Education in Sustainable Schools' released for public debate on Tuesday at the Cotroceni Palace, Agerpres reports.
Presidential Administration state councilor Alexandra Mihaela Bocsa said that a first proposal is to widen the array of activities related to climate change and environment in the 'School Otherwise' program of the 2021 - 2022 school year and the introduction of a dedicated 'Green Week' starting with 2022 - 2023.
Also envisaged are supporting and developing local, national and international partnerships involving students and teachers in projects and activities in the field.
The report is up for public consultation until February 11.
