Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Melescanu on Monday will participate in the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels, where foreign affairs ministers of EU member states are set to discuss topical issues, such as combating disinformation, cooperation between EU - the League of Arab States/LAS and the relation between the EU and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations/ASEAN, according to Agerpres.
At the meeting, presided by the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, the Romanian high official will present to his counterparts the main topics Romania will work on while holding the presidency of the Council of the European Union, including in the foreign affairs field and security policy, in which the Presidency acts in support of the High Representative, reads a release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Minister Teodor Melescanu is also set to present on Tuesday the priorities of the Romanian presidency of the Council of the EU in the foreign affairs field, at his briefings with the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) and with the European Parliament's Committee on Development (DEVE).
On the same day, the Romanian dignitary will have the opportunity to present the priorities of the Romanian presidency of the Council of EU in foreign relations, at a briefing organised by the European Policy Center think tank, reads the same release.
