Dry vegetation fire spreads over an area of 15 hectares in Buzau County

Over 15 hectares of land were engulfed in flames in the Topliceni commune in Buzau county, following a dry vegetation fire.

According to the Buzau Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISU), several crews and special vehicles with water and foam are operating at the scene, agerpres reports.

"Buzau firefighters were asked to intervene to extinguish a dry vegetation fire that broke out in the Raducesti locality, Topliceni commune. The flames quickly spread over an area of over 15 hectares, favored by weather conditions favorable to the spread of the fire. Five fire trucks and a staff of 20 firefighters are on the scene. The crews are making sustained efforts to locate and extinguish the fire, so that it does not spread to homes and buildings in the area", ISU Buzau reported.
