Economic development opportunities between Romania and Georgia were addressed on Tuesday by the Deputy Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu and the President of the Parliament of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, who visited the Romanian Government's seat, at the head of a delegation, a release sent by the gov't to AGERPRES informs.
The sides stressed the importance of developing the transport and energy routes the long of the Black Sea - the Caspian Sea corridor, among other things.
Moreover, Deputy PM Ciolacu reasserted Romania's support for Georgia's European, Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
"Besides, Romania was the first EU member to ratify the Association Agreement between the European Union and Georgia," the release specifies.
In 2017, Romania and Georgia celebrate 25 years of diplomatic relationships, the source adds.
