The three-month ROBOR index, according to which the cost of consumer loans in lei with floating interest rates is calculated, decreased on Tuesday on the interbank market to 3.10pct per annum from 3.11pct per annum, the value announced on the previous day, according to the data made public by the National Bank of Romania (BNR).
According to BNR data at the beginning of this year, 3-month ROBOR stood at 2.05pct.
As for the six-month index used to calculate interest rates on variable-rate mortgages in lei, it stood at 3.37pct per annum on Tuesday.
The 9-month ROBOR, representing the interest rate paid on the loans in lei drawn by commercial banks from other commercial banks, stagnated at 3.45pct, the same as was the 12-month ROBOR index, which remained at the value of 3.50pct per annum.
