Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown, participated on Tuesday in a working meeting at the Bucharest-based headquarters of the Margareta of Romania Royal Foundation, with the development of social initiatives aimed at meeting the current needs of Romanian society being on the agenda, among other things.
"During the meeting, Her Majesty was informed about the main ongoing programs, which aim to support the elderly, support education for young people and develop social initiatives aimed at meeting the current needs of Romanian society. The representatives of the foundation presented the results obtained last year, the impact of the projects in local communities and the collaborations achieved with institutional and private partners," the Royal Family of Romania informed in a post on their Facebook account.
At the same time, the foundation team presented a series of initiatives in preparation, aimed at expanding existing programs and creating new opportunities for beneficiaries, with an emphasis on education, intergenerational solidarity and support for vulnerable people.
Her Majesty expressed appreciation for the dedication and professionalism of the foundation team, emphasizing the importance of the continuity of these programs and the essential role that the foundation plays in supporting Romanian society, and encouraged the development of new projects that respond to current social challenges and strengthen the spirit of solidarity and civic responsibility.
