The meeting of the Supreme Council for National Defence (CSAT) chaired by President Nicusor Dan, began on Wednesday at the Cotroceni Palace, with the agenda including the situation in the Middle East and its implications for Romania.
Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, National Defence Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Radu Miruta, Interior Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Catalin Predoiu, Foreign Affairs Minister Oana Toiu, Economy Minister Irineu Darau and Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare are attending the meeting.
The agenda also includes the analysis of the temporary deployment of military capabilities on Romanian territory and the assessment of the impact of events in the Middle East on Romania's oil market.
The last CSAT meeting was held on 24 November 2025 and addressed the National Defence Strategy.
