The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened higher on Monday, with transactions reaching 1.023 billion lei (200.83 million euros) 30 minutes into the session, of which transactions with bonds accounted for 1.013 billion lei (199 million euros).
The main index, BET, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded an increase of 0.73%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, rose by 0.72%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index, BET-XT, comprising the 25 most liquid titles, gained 0.67%, while the benchmark for investment funds, BET-BK, increased by 0.52%.
The BET-FI index, which tracks the SIFs (Financial Investment Companies), saw a decline of 0.21%, while the BET-NG index, which tracks the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sectors, rose by 0.57%.
According to BVB data, the biggest gains in stock values were recorded by the Globalinvest Energy&Financials ETF (+4.68%), Aerostar (+3.03%), and Lion Capital (+2.86%).
On the other hand, the biggest declines were seen in the stocks of Condmag (-3.85%), Ropharma (-2.48%), and Fondul Proprietatea (-2.30%).
