The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Thursday's trading session on the rise, with transactions amounting to 9.42 million lei (1.85 million euro), overall, 30 minutes into the session.
The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, was up 0.29%, while the BET-Plus index, reflecting the performance of the 43 most liquid shares listed on the BVB, saw a 0.28% increase, agerpres reports.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, gained 0.24%, while the investment fund benchmark index BET-BK rose by 0.21%.
The BET-FI index of financial investment companies (SIFs) posted a decline of 0.09%, whereas BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, increased by 0.28%.
According to BVB data, the largest share price increases were recorded by Cris-Tim Family Holding (+3.65%), Transelectrica (+2.35%) and Farmaceutica Remedia (+2.26%).
On the other hand, shares in Carbochim (-5.41%), Mecanica Ceahlău (-4.5%) and Vrancart (-2.06%) were in decline.
