Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opens higher on Friday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened higher on Friday, with turnover amounting to 8.034 million lei (1.577 million euros) after the first 30 minutes of trading.

The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the twenty most liquid companies, was up 0.36%, and the BET-Plus index, which reflects the performance of the forty-three most liquid shares on the BVB, recorded a similar increase, agerpres reports.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the twenty-five most liquid securities, recorded an increase of 0.33%, while the investment funds' benchmark index BET-BK rose 0.29%.

The BET-FI index of the SIFs was down 0.02%, while BET-NG, the index of the ten companies in the energy and utilities sector, recorded an increase of 0.53%.

According to the BVB data the biggest increases in share prices were recorded by Armatura S.A. (+14.55%), Artego S.A (+2.88%) and Chimcomplex S.A. Borzesti (+2.65%).

On the other hand the shares of Bermas S.A. (-4%), Altur S.A. (-3.13%) and Roca Industry Holdingrock1 S.A. (-2.60%) were down.
