A performance by soprano Rodica Vica and pianist Angi Draghicescu, bringing together contemporary creations alongside works by composers active during the time of Constantin Brancusi or heard in his studio, will take place in Targu Jiu on 20 March.
The performance is part of the international BrancuSING tour, running from 18 March to 1 May, dedicated to marking the 150th anniversary of the birth of Constantin Brancusi, agerpres reports.
The project proposes a dialogue between sculpture and music, in a format that combines concert performance, art history interventions and video projections, building a musical journey inspired by the Brancusian universe.
The programme brings together contemporary works signed by Sabina Ulubeanu and Radu Mihalache, alongside pieces by composers active during Brancusi's era or heard in his studio, such as Erik Satie, George Gershwin, Anton Pann and Agustin Lara.
The performance will take place at the Elvira Godeanu Theatre in Targu Jiu.
'The Constantin Brancusi National Museum, the Elvira Godeanu' Theatre of Targu Jiu and the Ino Music Art Association have the distinct honour of inviting you to attend, on Friday, 20 March, starting at 19:00, a grand performance by soprano Rodica Vica and pianist Angi Draghicescu at the Elvira Godeanu' Dramatic Theatre in Targu Jiu. The project is financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration and organised by the Asociatia Ino Music Art. This international tour will take place in Targu Jiu as well as in Bucharest, Vienna, Budapest, Rome, Madrid, Porto, Paris and New York,' Constantin Brancusi' Manager National Museum Denisa Suta told AGERPRES on Monday.
Admission to the event is free, subject to invitation and availability.
Invitations can be collected from the box office of the Elvira Godeanu' Theatre.
