Romania's gas deposits were 99.72pct full in early October, with 2.861 cubic metres being stored, meaning that our country will have no problem to cover for its needs this winter, stated the head of the National Regulatory Authority in the Energy Field (ANRE), George Sergiu Niculescu.
"Gas deposits were 99.72pct full on October 9, with 2.861 cubic metres being stored. This is a a quantity that makes us comfortable to say that there will be no problem this winter for the consumers in what concerns the gas needs, and I mention it because we are hearing this every beginning of a winter: we will free, we will not have gas. Romania is well equipped for this winter," said Niculescu, at the conference "We are investing and operating responsibly in the energy field," organized by Invest Energy.
