As many as 8,600 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been recorded in the last 24 hours and 44 deaths have been reported, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) reported on Wednesday, Agerpres reports.
"According to the data existing at the National Centre for Intervention Management and Coordination [CNCCI] level on January 12, 2022, at 10:00, within 24 hours, 8,600 cases of people having tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 were registered. Also, 44 deaths were reported. No previous deaths are reported," the GCS said.
